Frequently Asked Questions

Is coaching the same as therapy?

A: Nope! Trained therapists (especially psychiatrists and psychotherapists) can address mental health issues and some can prescribe medication. Coaches cannot. Understanding deeply ingrained childhood conditioning and healing from trauma is more appropriate for therapy, where as coaching is more appropriate for cultivating self awareness, working on goals, and moving your life forward.

Therapy tends to focus more on the past and present. Coaching tends to focus more on the present and future. Coaching is also very proactive. We talk through things but then get you into action and overcoming hurdles as you work toward your goals and dreams.

What is your style of coaching like?

I did all my coach and leadership development training at the Coaches Training Institute, so the "coactive" style of coaching is my foundation, but I incorporate everything that I learn and study on my own as well as my experience supporting hundreds of clients in the past 7 years. My style is an intuitive mix of coaching and mentoring with a dash of spirituality and lots of playfulness blended in.

Do you do in person sessions?

Rarely. My husband and I are digital nomads and rarely in one place for very long! So my business is completely virtual. That said, I do occasionally host in person retreats, VIP days, or other special events. Get on my mailing list to stay tuned for events in your area or feel free to request something specific.

How do I know which is a better fit for me between 1:1 coaching, live group programs, and DIY courses?

1:1 is more customized to you the client, and is also a bigger investment. This is a good fit if you're ready to make a serious commitment and you prefer the personalized attention.

Group programs are more structured around a curriculum. There is more mentoring and less coaching, but you get the added benefit of a supportive community! This is a good fit if you like learning through and with others. The investment for live group programs is significantly lower than private coaching.

DIY courses / offers without the live component are the most affordable option. This is a good fit if you have the discipline to do the work on your own, don't care about the personalized support and community, and prefer to go at your own pace.

Are you available for speaking engagements and other events?

Yes! Absolutely. Please contact us with the specifics of your event and/or request and someone on our team will get back to you shortly.
